20 Trustworthy Promises From God To Stand On!

God is a Good, Good Father! We hear this song by Chris Tomlin and wonder…  is this true? Absolutely it is! Even when we don’t FEEL it! God’s Word is full of promises from God to stand on… let’s take a look:

God Is:

• Always Good
• Always Loving
• Always Patient
• Always Compassionate
• Always Caring 
• Always Faithful
• Always Comforting
• Always Perfect
• Always Near
• Always Good

When you feel like you just can’t get up one more time, God reaches out his hand to lift you up and carries you in His arms. He whispers in your ear and tells you that you are never alone. 

When you feel like you’ll never reach your weight loss goal, God speaks lovingly into your ear and says “I am with you Always” even in this journey. 

God never changes. He is the only constant in our world. When things around us are changing by the minute…God’s word is constant. His promises are true and we can stand on this absoluteness. 

God is our rock! God is our Foundation and we can trust Him completely. Foundations are usually the lowest load-bearing part of a building, and typically they are below ground level. They are built first so that the rest of the building can be secure. When a foundation is solid, we have no problem trusting it. We trust in the floor that we stand on each morning without even thinking about it. We trust in the chair that we sit on each day at the table. We trust in the bed that we lie down in each evening. So why do we doubt the other promises that God has for us to claim? 

Each promise from God is like a treat to our soul. We can cling to it like a warm comfy blanket or a stuffy – you know the one? That cuddly teddy bear or toy that you held onto growing up. So let’s claim these promises as they are living and active, sharper than a two-edged sword and they have the power to conquer the temptations that come upon us each and every day!

1. God promises that when we hope in the Lord, He will renew our strength. 
2. God promises that when we hope in the Lord, you will run and not grow weary. 
3. God promises that even though you walk through the valley, you fear no evil.
4. God promises that even though you walk through the valley, He is with you!
5. God promises that even though you walk through the valley, His rod and staff comfort you. 
6. God promises that His mercies are new every morning.
7. God promises that joy comes in the morning. 
8. God promises that any time you are tempted, He will always give you a way out. 
9. God promises that any time you are tempted, there is always an escape. 
10. God promises that there is a power within you that is greater than the world. 
11. God promises that He forgives you every single time you fail. 
12. God promises that in Christ you are More than a conqueror!
13. God promises that you are an overcomer.
14. God promises that if you cast your cares on Him, He WILL care for you!
15. God promises that if you abide in Him, He will abide in You!
16. God promises that His grace is always sufficient for you!. 
17. God promises that we reap what we sow.
18. God promises that He causes the sun to shine on the good and the bad.
19. God promises that His Spirit lives within us. 
20. God promises that His Love is More than enough. He loves us unconditionally. He died for YOU.

Are Promises From God Trustworthy?

Is God a Good, Good Father? Without a doubt – the answer is a resounding YES! God keeps his promises! And yes, we can be secure standing on God’s promises!

Even when our feelings get in the way of our belief, let’s remember to claim His promises and cling to them like never before. 

Like Chris Tomlin says – “He is perfect in all of his ways, that’s who He is. He is perfect in all of His ways. That’s who He is. That’s who He is!”
